The road is covered in about 1" of heavy wet snow, but is pavement underneath. As long as the temperature stays about 0, we should be OK. The section between the Bishop's Hill turn-off and Harding Road is clear. The snowbanks mid-island are formidable and there is a light coating of snow mixed with sand on the roadway. The recycling depot road was not plowed since the last snowfall, but the low-slung Prius had no difficulty getting in and out with its winter tires.
